Official Horigen D6 Replacement Breast Shields

Keep your Horigen D6 breast pump working comfortably and efficiently with fresh 25mm replacement breast shields. These shields are designed for use with the Horigen D6 wearable breast pump and help create a secure seal while expressing.

Replacing worn breast pump parts can help maintain suction, support a smoother pumping rhythm, and keep your expressing routine hygienic.

Compatibility

These are official replacement shields for the Horigen D6 breast pump. They are intended to replace the breast shield component that sits against the breast during pumping.

For best performance, use with the correct Horigen D6 valves, diaphragms, and accessories as recommended for your pump. If you are unsure whether this part is right for your model, please check your pump manual or contact us before ordering.

Size & Fit Guide

These Horigen D6 shields are 25mm, which is commonly considered a standard breast shield size. However, the right size depends on your nipple shape, comfort, and milk flow.

A good fit should allow your nipple to move freely through the tunnel without rubbing against the sides, pinching, or pulling in too much areola. If your nipple rubs, feels sore after pumping, turns white or red, or you notice reduced milk flow, the shield may not be the right size.

If you are unsure, we recommend speaking with a lactation consultant for personalised sizing support.

Material & Comfort

These replacement shields are made for regular expressing and are designed to sit comfortably against the breast while helping the pump maintain suction.

As with all breast pump parts that come into contact with milk, it is important to check the shield regularly for wear, cracks, stretching, or changes in shape.

Cleaning & Care

After each pumping session, separate all parts that come into contact with breast milk. Rinse away milk residue, wash with warm soapy water, and allow the parts to air dry fully before storing.

You can also sterilise parts according to your pump’s care instructions. Always follow the Horigen D6 manual for cleaning, sterilising, and safe use guidance.

When To Replace Breast Pump Shields

For hygiene and performance, we recommend checking silicone and breast pump parts regularly and replacing them every 1–3 months, depending on how often you pump.

Signs it may be time to replace your shields include reduced suction, visible cracks, cloudiness, stretching, damage, or a change in fit. Fresh parts can help keep your pump performing at its best.

When To Use Hydrogel Breast Discs

Hydrogel breast discs can be used whenever your nipples need cooling, soothing comfort between feeds or pumping sessions.

They may be helpful for:

  • sore nipples from breastfeeding
  • cracked nipples
  • irritated or sensitive skin
  • early breastfeeding discomfort
  • pumping-related tenderness
  • post-feed cooling relief

If you are experiencing ongoing pain, bleeding, infection symptoms, or trouble with latch, please speak with a healthcare professional or lactation consultant.

Hydrogel Breast Pads vs Regular Breast Pads

Hydrogel breast pads and regular breast pads are used for different purposes.

Hydrogel pads are designed to soothe, cool, and comfort the nipple area. They are ideal when your skin feels tender, irritated, or in need of moisture-supporting care.

Disposable or cloth breast pads are designed to absorb milk leaks and help keep clothing dry.

Many nursing mothers use both: hydrogel breast discs for comfort between feeds, and regular breast pads for everyday leak protection.

How To Use Hydrogel Breast Pads

  1. Wash your hands before use.
  2. Gently place the hydrogel disc over the nipple area.
  3. Wear inside your bra between feeds or pumping sessions.
  4. Remove before breastfeeding or pumping.
  5. Follow the product instructions for replacement, reuse, and storage.

For an extra cooling effect, check the product instructions to see whether the pads can be safely chilled before use.
