Visitors

Your time in hospital after the birth is important for you and your partner to get to know your baby and learn the special skills needed for parenting.

Having visitors in hospital, can be like hosting a party every afternoon and evening, leaving very little quality time for you and your partner to spend with your baby. Try not to feel you are offending your visitors by expressing your true feelings ie "I am feeling really tired, so would you mind if we catch up when i am home and settled".

Remember that you and your baby's needs should take priority over your visitors. Enlist the help of your partner or midwife to restrict visitors if necessary.
