The First Breastfeed
Research tells us that by ensuring we follow two simple steps at birth we can minimize the chances of having future breastfeeding problems.
1. Skin to skin - uninterrupted skin to skin for a minimum of 60 mins but more is best.
2. Breastfeed within the first hour of birth.
The first few days are crucial to get the breastfeeding relationship off to a good start.
